Team practice times and location are at the coach's discretion but we do have fields available to use in the Rockton/Roscoe area.
There is only one way to register your child for Lady Shamrocks softball.
Online registration (look for link on the Lady Sharocks section). By signing up online you will also be automatically added to the Lady Shamrocks/Stateline Sports Group email list to receive notices.
Team size can vary depending upon the number of kids registering to play but the preferred roster size is 11-12 kids. Lady Shamrocks has target roster sizes, varying by age division of play to ensure minimal financial requirements are met.
The Lady Shamrocks participate in the Stateline Sports Group "Stars of Tomorrow" summer league. The league generally consists of 20-25 regular season games. All teams qualify for the Mid-Summer Slam Tournament and the League Championship Tournaments. Beyond the two guaranteed games in the tournaments, the number of games that a team can play depends on how many games a team can win. In some cases, teams can play 2-3 games in a day.
Regular season games are scheduled for Monday - Friday 5pm-8pm, Saturday's (8AM-8PM) and Sunday's (8AM-8PM). Make-Up Games are used if games are rained out or canceled do to heat or weather advisory. Make-Up game days and times are TBD depending on both teams availability and diamond availability.
All Schedules are posted on www.statelinesportsgroup.com under the League tab for the respective league that the team is participating in at that time.
Registration closes by age group when the teams in that age group are full. This can happen at anytime.
Yes! You can sign up for our 9month payment plan to participate in the Lady Shamrocks program. The monthly fee is $40.00 per month for 9 months.
The 2023/24 Lady Shamrock Registration fee covers many items including but not limited to:
• The Lady Shamrocks program for 1yr (12 calendar months) from the date of your Registration.
• A full Lady Shamrocks uniform that includes a Jersey, Pants, Socks, & Belt.
• All off-season Skills & Agility training sessions.
* Registration costs which are league fees, league tournament, insurance costs, coach background checks, mailing list costs, etc.
* Practice costs such as practice field (indoor & outdoor) usage & permits, coaching, and practice equipment.
* Game costs such as game facility usage & permits, umpire costs, website scheduling and score reporting costs, and officials evaluation costs.
* Lady Shamrocks softball operating expenses such as bank fees, credit card fees, ongoing coaching evaluations, coaches training clinics, education, Stateline Sports Group Indoor Center, background checks, administration costs, copying, postage, etc.
The Lady Shamrocks will take requests from new players for a specific jersey number or a request for a jersey number change. We attempt to honor those requests if at all possible. Please note, the priority of duplicate numbers requested will go to returning players first. Please request your specific jersey number or choice of jersey number on your registration form.
All registration fees for Lady Shamrocks are 100% non-refundable. If you wish to discuss this policy please contact one of the Lady Shamrocks program director.
Anyone can apply to be a head coach or an assistant coach. All coaching candidates will go through a pre-certification process. The process involves filling out an application, undergoing a background check, and completing an interview with the Stateline Sports Group representative. All Lady Shamrock coaches are required to attend any mandated yearly Lady Shamrock and Stateline Sports Group coach training and are encouraged to attend any local coaching clinics if they can as well.
Specific coach training and skill/drill information is available to any authorized Lady Shamrock softball coach through our softball program's extensive training library.
All Lady Shamrock softball head coaches are evaluated annually both by their parents/players on their team as well as the Lady Shamrocks Program Director. Retention as a Lady Shamrock softball head or assistant coach is offered on a year to year basis based on these and the Lady Shamrock Director's evaluations. Yes, All Lady Shamrock head coaches and assistant coaches, as well as League Umpires and Stateline Sports Group softball employees are subjected to a Fully accredited Background Check every calendar year to insure player safety.
